  Now Hiring: Terminal Manager 

Lightning Logistics LLC is seeking a hands-on Terminal Manager to lead daily operations, driver performance, and safety compliance at our fast-paced transportation terminal. This role is ideal for a strong leader with logistics, trucking, or last-mile distribution experience who thrives in an operational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  •  Oversee daily terminal operations, including dock activity, route dispatch, and freight flow.
  •  Manage and coach drivers and contractors to meet performance and safety expectations.
  •  Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, including HOS, ELD, and pre/post-trip inspections.
  •  Monitor and improve on-time delivery metrics and route efficiency.
  •  Conduct dock walks, safety audits, and equipment checks (pallet jacks, staging areas, etc.).
  •  Investigate and document OS&D (Overages, Shortages, Damages).
  •  Enforce company SOPs related to: 
    •  Safety protocols (PPE, yard speed, chocking, etc.).
    •  Device and phone usage policies.
    •  Freight handling and scanning procedures.
  •  Coordinate with dispatch, customers, and leadership to resolve operational issues.
  •  Handle disciplinary actions, coaching, and performance reviews.
  •  Maintain accurate reporting (TVIS, route sheets, compliance logs).

Qualifications:
  •  3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or terminal management.
  •  Strong knowledge of: 
    •  DOT regulations (HOS, ELD compliance).
    •  Dock operations and freight handling.
  •  Proven leadership experience managing drivers or warehouse teams.
  •  Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  •  Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  •  Experience with logistics systems (TVIS, Geotab, or similar) is a plus.
  •  CDL preferred but not required.
